Grant's stocking is finished!
Grant’s stocking is finished and on its way to Grant. This was great fun to stitch. The simple design lent itself to lots of different stitches and threads.
Evelyn's stocking is off to the finishers next, so stay tuned for that final result.
Congratulations! This looks fabulous. I enjoyed watching you stitch it a great deal and knew it would be wonderful when all made up. Grant's a lucky guy to have such a marvelous piece of needle art to celebrate Christmas with.
I am presently working on six Santa's, all about 6-7 inches tall. May I ask what thread and stitch you used for Santa's fur around his coat? I am running out of ideas and would appreciate knowing what you used.
I used Peluche in a random long and short stitch. I was working on 13 mesh, so I would not recommend that thread if you are working on 18 mesh. You could substitute Fuzzy Stuff or Petite Peluche for 18.
Thank you for the information on Santa's fur. I will look for some Petite Peluche, as I am working on 18-count mesh. I must have been crazy to think I could do six Santa's, but they are so cute.
